LOCATION

Artá is a very beautiful, historical place with approx. 6,000 inhabitants in the northeast of Majorca.

The village stretches up a hill on which the baroque pilgrimage church Sant Salvador with an

impressive fortress wall towers over the roofs of the town.

The narrow and sometimes steep streets lead from the market square up to the church. The alleys and pedestrian zone are lined with a variety of small shops, restaurants and cafés.

The weekly market with fresh local produce is held in the market square every Tuesday. From the old railway station runs the old railway line, which becomes the walking, running and

and cycling route, the Via Verde.

This beautiful route leads through the countryside via Son Severra, Son Carrió and Sant Llorenç des Cardassar for over 30 kilometres to Manacor.

Directly behind the town, the Llevant Nature Park extends to the sea and offers great hiking opportunities with some smaller mountains. Various beaches in different directions can be reached in less than 15 minutes.
